Garlic Oil

Garlic Oil 500ml

We produce our Garlic Oil by blending California garlic extract with late harvest olive oil for a buttery oil that possesses subtle levels of flavor and depth, without overpowering. Use it whenever actual garlic will burn – as when roasting or sautéing at higher heat. Works great in almost any dish – it’s garlic!

Quick Uses:

  • Add a splash of Garlic Oil to Beef with Broccoli or any veggie stir-fry for a great hit of flavor.
  • Make easy, heavenly garlic bread or croutons.
  • Whip up a super quick and flavorful pasta with fresh or canned tomatoes, Garlic Oil, and fresh basil leaves. Season with sea salt, freshly ground pepper and grated Parmesan.
  • Drizzle over steamed rapini or spinach, toss with toasted pine nuts and enjoy.
  • Cioppino, a classic and delectable SF seafood stew, is even better with our Garlic Oil.

Pairs well with: Napa Valley BlendRosemary OilLisbon Lemon Oil, Asian-style cuisines, chicken, pork, steak, shrimp, onions, Parmesan, potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini, broccoli, green beans, artichokes, soy sauce, citrus, breads, pizzas, pastas & focaccia

We visit your shop at the SF Ferry Building every Saturday morning. We used to buy 1-2 500ml bottles of yourbgaelic oil, and have falling deeply in love with it.

Unfortunately, for a while now only the 225ml bottle is available, and if we arrive with empty 500ml bottles, we are told that you have no refill quantities.

Why? Is it because you can sell less than half the quantity of garlic oil by selling your 225ml bottle for 80% of the price of your 500ml bottle at $20.00?

Or has demand truly outstripped supply of the garlic oil?

We have recently switched to a poor replica of our wonderful Stone house garlic oil by purchasing Trader Joe's extra virgin and cramming garlic cloves into the bottle, and while it is a distant replica, it is just not economical to buy the 225ml bottle.

I'm sure you have plenty of customers who don't know how good a value the 500ml bottle was at $20.00, and maybe it is just that we legacy customers had a great run when your 500ml bottles were available, and that era is gone,

    But what a shame.

we stood, indecisive, in my unfurnished studio. it was well past midnight, and we needed dinner. it seemed i had only moments to conjure something, only moments to prevent the collapse of something precarious. it was our second date.

this girl. a modern-day deipnosophist, thoughtful and with expansive ken; always asking the right questions, questions incisive in the way you don't appreciate until you've given half your answer; intellectually generous but not above allowing a sly smile (raising her left ala and its tiny stud) as she dispatches an ill-conceived argument. her beauty coruscates, her style is coyly hip, and her writing speaks.

improvising, i sliced two pieces of hopelessly stale bread and put them on a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. i opened a bottle of stone house garlic olive oil (225ml) and brushed it liberally but fastidiously on the bread. i sliced an avocado, lengthwise, as she casually considered my bookshelves. the bread bronzed; my heart raced. my fingertips screamed as i manually transferred the bread to a plate. i delicately positioned the avocado, fanning the slices, and finished with sea salt.

she approached, considered, smiled. there was nowhere to sit but the hardwood floor, and so we sat, crosslegged, enveloped in the warmth, enveloped in the redolence, and, perhaps, enveloped in something more.
