This Balsamic Glaze can make even the simplest of foods indulgent. Drizzle it over salads, fresh fruit, pizza, yogurt bowls, and even on top of toast. The options are truly endless!
1 cup Organic Fig Balsamic or Dark Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbsp honey, maple syrup or sugar of choice
Pour balsamic vinegar into a small or medium saucepan and stir in the sweetener.
Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat to keep at just a simmer for 12-15 minutes. Stir occasionally until reduced by half and glaze coats the back of a spoon. It will thicken further as it cools. Keep in mind the reduction time will depend on the surface area of your saucepan.
Transfer to a mason jar or container with a tight fitting lid, allow to cool completely and enjoy! Can store for many weeks in the fridge.
